Overall, the company showcased its commitment to developing technologies that support both 12G-SDI/4K and 3G-SDI/HD resolution for sports and live event applications.
On display at FOR-A’s SVG Summit booth was: the new HVS-1200 4K/HD compatible switcher, the ClassX content creation and graphics playout solution, Variant Systems Group’s Envivo Replay sports and live event replay solution, and the ODYSSEY Insight multi-channel video server.
The new HANABI HVS-1200, first shown at IBC 2018, a compact 4K/HD compatible switcher was on display in the FOR-A SVG booth. This new switcher builds on the features of the HANABI HVS-490 video switchers and adds 12G-SDI support as standard. The switcher utilizes a single coaxial cable and is configurable as both a 12G-SDI/4K and as a 3G-SDI/HD switcher. In HD mode, the switcher accepts up to 40 inputs, and in 4K mode it accepts up to 10. In 4K mode, the switcher provides 2 ME performance (1 ME + 1 MELite), and in HD mode it’s a 6 ME (2 ME + 4 MELite) switcher vertually. The HVS-1200 is extremely portable with a 3RU chassis design, making it well suited for mobile production or events, specifically in 12G-SDI/4K.
FOR-A provided demonstrations of the ClassX (CG) content creation and graphics playout solution. ClassX is a dedicated broadcast solution for 2D/3D character generation, live motion and play out graphics with numerous layers available. Support for NDI is standard. ClassX is integrated with all of FOR-A’s HANABI production video switchers. FOR-A is the exclusive distributor of ClassX in North, Central and South America.
