THE MEDIAPRO STUDIO has reached a co-production agreement with Chilevisión, the network belonging to the Turner Latin America group, in a move to bolster its international expansion. The first project included in this agreement is “El Discípulo del Chef”, a show involving the collaboration of Phileas Productions.

The program is one of THE MEDIAPRO STUDIO’s most significant investments in non-fiction and as such, will be presented at the upcoming edition of MIPCOM. “El Discípulo del Chef” sets out to set itself apart from other entertainment formats of a similar nature taking a much fresher and more daring approach to the culinary talent genre.

The first season of this big entertainment format will consist of 24 episodes to be broadcast during prime time, and giving an idea of the scope and level of production and direction.

Chilevisión recently issued the casting call for the program with the participation of renowned and prestigious chefs. Strategy goes hand-in-hand with gastronomic dissemination in the show, designed for family audiences. The show’s winner will offer an aspiring chef the chance to train with some of the best chefs around.

With “El Discípulo del Chef”, THE MEDIAPRO STUDIO and Turner Latin America strengthen their commitment to the production of innovative and original formats, thus offering a quality content alternative in this opportunity for the Chilean market. The project is part of the five-year global agreement signed between the two companies for the development and co-production of multiplatform content for Latin America. This agreement contemplates an overall investment of €9 million, which has already seen the production of 8-episode drama series “Las Bravas F.C.”.
