Accompanied by LaLiga, the project draws its maximum inspiration from Leo Messi.
The experience will only be available only for a limited number of attendees for each function of the new Messi10 by Cirque du Soleil show, which involves several interactive and physical challenges generated using cutting-edge technology. Thanks to a scoring system, the “Messi of the Day”, the one who scores most points overall, will be given the opportunity to become an active part of the Messi10 Cirque du Soleil show.
Both the show and the interactive experience will make their world debut on October 10th in Parc del Forum. In addition, “Messi10 Challenge LaLiga” will open with an advance preview with the Summer Edition at the F.C. Barcelona Miniestadi from July onwards.
Mediapro Exhibitions is currently working on the audiovisual, technological and interior design productions of this unprecedented interactive experience.
LynTec has introduced the new RPC 348 motorized circuit breaker panel with capacity for up to 48 motorized circuit breakers and six non-motorized standard circuit breakers. The new panel is part of LynTec’s patented, industry-recommended RPC series, which offers a range of models that can control 30, 42, 48, 66, or 84 breakers in a single panel.
“Since we introduced the RPC series 10 years ago, we’ve continued to expand the capabilities of the system and scale the capacity at the request of our customers,” said Mark Bishop, president of LynTec. “The RPC 348 is part of our ongoing commitment to engineer solutions that save customers money while protecting their AVL investment. With this offering, LynTec now provides the widest selection of intelligent panel sizes in the industry, guaranteeing that project designers will be able to truly and cost-effectively match AVL power control requirements for any application and any project.”
While electrical standards call out 30-, 42-, 66- or 84-slot panels, the lighting industry lists 48-position panels as the standard for lighting control panels. The new 48-position RPC 348 panel allows for an easy conversion of older relay panels into a more space-efficient, controllable circuit breaker panel. Based on the Square D PowerLink hardware platform, it delivers the same innovations as the rest of the RPC family, including a web-enabled interface for quick setup and intuitive control and monitoring from any smartphone, tablet, or computer.
It also features a scheduling program with an astronomical clock and up to 84 available scheduled events to automate AVL power and reduce operational costs; contact closure inputs for wall switch or sensor operation (up to 38 inputs); circuit-selectable load-shedding; circuit-level sequencing with selectable step-rates to prevent inrush; circuit-selectable auto-on for egress lighting; over- and under-voltage protection with automatic shutdown and controlled restart; single DMX address zone control, and more. All of the RPC series panels can be networked together via their on-board web servers to form large venue power control platforms. In addition, it can interface with any control system that communicates individual circuit addresses in DMX, sACN, HTTP, Telnet, BACnet, or RS-232.

In particular, the scope of MX1’s contingency service will be expanded to include Sky Deutschland’s over-the-top (OTT) signals as well as its main broadcasts.
The MX1 Broadcast Centre will simultaneously receive all essential data and video transmission material from Sky Deutschland’s main channels. In the unlikely event that a natural or other catastrophe impacts Sky Deutschland’s media centre, its broadcast or OTT signal will be rapidly restored via MX1’s Broadcasting Centre in Unterföhring, Germany. The agreement includes content management, playout, and uplink services for the main signal, as well as encoding and distribution for OTT delivery.
“Big players such as Sky need a reliable partner that can assure service continuity in case an unforeseen external catastrophe impacts their own infrastructure,” said Christoph Mühleib, managing director, Astra Deutschland, responsible for marketing and sales of Astra and MX1 in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. “I’m proud to say that in such an event MX1 can guarantee to jump in and take over all contracted services on the same day.”
Broadpeak® is working with Astro Malaysia Holdings (“Astro”) Malaysia’s leading content and consumer company to strengthen the latter’s OTT video delivery service through its multicast ABR solution. Broadpeak’s multicast ABR technology will provide Astro with a cost-effective solution for OTT delivery, enabling the operator to distribute live and catch-up TV to public venues, as well as consumers and businesses, guaranteeing an exceptional experience.
Shahrul Imran Sultan, Vice President of Product Engineering at Astro said, “We are pleased to work with Broadpeak to enable our commercial and enterprise partners to enhance their business by providing their customers an avenue to enjoy our content that’s transmitted via satellite just by connecting to the establishment’s WIFI and launching the dedicated app. We are confident that Broadpeak’s multicast ABR solution will assist in elevating the customer’s user experience, while also providing the best technology quality.”
Astro is using Broadpeak’s multicast ABR satellite solution to distribute 20 MPEG-DASH live channels for Android TVs, iOS and Android tablets and smartphones. The complete Broadpeak solution includes a BkE200 transcaster server, BkA100 analytics, BkS350 origin and packager servers, and nanoCDN™ technology. Broadpeak also played the role of system integrator in this project, coordinating with third-party project stakeholders, including Viaccess-Orca, Neotion, and Datacom, to assure a seamless deployment.
With Broadpeak’s nanoCDN technology Astro can deliver adaptive bitrate formats (i.e., HLS, DASH) to public places where broadband connectivity is limited using satellite, with the quality of DTH broadcast. Utilizing Broadpeak’s BkA100 analytics solution, Astro can visualize business, streaming, and QoE statistics to optimize the quality of its OTT service.
“Satellite DTH operators are looking to unlock new sources of revenue, and delivering OTT video to public places is a great way to do that,” said Jacques Le Mancq, CEO at Broadpeak. “With Broadpeak’s nanoCDN for satellite, Astro can deliver the ultimate quality experience that only satellite can provide on a consistent basis while addressing any type of screen.”
