The switcher provides users with event memory and macro functions, as well as integrated frame synchronizers and multi viewers – making it easy to set up quickly for live performances.

A demo of the latest ClassX solution of 2D/3D character generation and live motion graphics and playout software integrated with FOR-A video switchers will be on the FOR-A WFX booth. ClassX’s graphics suite of solutions is popular with universities, digital signage, live event, and sports production applications. FOR-A is the exclusive distributor of ClassX in North, Central and South America. The agreement provides broadcasters and live event producers with the ability to create and play out ClassX real-time broadcast graphics integrated with FOR-A video switchers.

ClassX offers a complete solution with pixel-perfect, real-time 2D and 3D motion graphics and titling, SportsGraphics, SocialServer, MOS newsroom interface, clip playing automation, picture-in-picture and a multi-functional scripting facility. ClassX is 12G-compatible and supports Dante® digital audio for playout.

ODYSSEY’s Insight Production Server is a multi-channel playout system, available in a two- or four-channel configuration. Offering a Web interface for control from any device with a web browser (no installation required), the video server provides a wide range of supported wrappers and codecs for media contribution and video play out with time delay playback. Insight’s flexible event processor allows users to connect multiple devices and interact with FOR-A production video switchers, routing switchers, CG generators, GPIO-connected devices and other studio equipment to orchestrate event triggering for a seamless production.

Autoscript WinPlus-IP Delivers New Levels of Prompter Control and Workflow Efficiency

WinPlus-IP’s enhanced device management enables complete remote control of on-camera units including prompt and talent monitors, with the ability to set image parameters (brightness, contrast, and colour temperature), image orientation (vertical/horizontal flip), and input configuration (prompt and talent monitor video routing, picture in picture, picture by picture). All parameters are displayed by the WinPlus-IP software and, in a first for the industry, can be copied and pasted to additional units for easy replication of teleprompter display settings as required by the talent.

With WinPlus-IP’s new configuration tool, users can link all the elements of their prompting system to create the desired setup for a specific show. For example, they can select controller positions, monitors, run orders, and presenter settings, or they can create studio configurations with grouped devices for easy selection. They can even create prompter settings for different segments, such as weather, to be applied mid-production. Switching between setups is as simple as a single click, with configurations libraries exportable to other WinPlus-IP applications.

These new features are now available as standard in WinPlus-IP, bringing powerful new efficiencies and flexibility to the setup, configuration, deployment, and operation of Autoscript’s prompting equipment.

Anton/Bauer Launches DIONIC 26V Batteries for Powering High-End Cinematic Cameras and Lights

Anton/Bauer today introduced the DIONIC® 26V series of cinema batteries. Developed for cinematographers, rental houses, and content creators, these 26V Li-ion batteries offer up to 240 watt-hours of reliable, safe, and efficient power for higher-power-draw cinematic cameras and LED lights. Featuring Anton/Bauer’s new Gold Mount® Plus mount, the DIONIC 26V range includes 98-watt-hour and 240-watt-hour batteries, as well as a quad charger, a quad discharger, and a range of mounting plates for connecting to industry-leading cameras and LED lighting fixtures.

The DIONIC 26V series has been designed to drive high-power cinematic cameras such as the ARRI Alexa LF, SXT, and 65, and will also support mobile power for popular LED panels, including Litepanels’ Gemini Soft panels and ARRI’s SkyPanel series. With their lighter weight and more compact form factor, the DIONIC 26V batteries offer greater mobility for camera operators and more versatility for LED placement over tethered power sources such as AC or block-style batteries. BCE automates RTL TVI trailer generation

As the technical provider of RTL TVI, BCE is responsible for broadcasting RTL TVI, CLUB RTL and PLUG TV channels from Luxembourg. Providing many services for the company, BCE was looking for a solution to automate the production process of the customer’s trailers.

BCE turned to the Automate-IT solution developed by the publisher Embrace, which went into production in early summer 2019.

Automate-IT automates the process of packaging, generating and delivering trailers by aggregating data and media. As a result, the users can avoid any non-creative tasks, produce more for broadcast or social networks and always in perfect compliance with the graphical chart of their company.

2019 Champions League Deploys FOR-A FT-ONE-SS4K Super Slow-Motion Cameras During Final Match

During the 2019 Champions League final in Madrid, several FOR-A Ultra High-Speed FT-ONE-SS4K cameras were utilized for critical slow motion replays as part of the live broadcast. The same camera will be on display within the FOR-A booth (Hall 2, Stand A51) during IBC 2019 at the RAI Amsterdam this week. Specially designed for live, instant replay in ultra-slow motion, the FOR-A® FT-ONE-SS4K supports UHD shot at up to 1000 frames per second. It provides a continual, real-time 4K live output. A native 2/3-inch image sensor enables the use of a B4 bayonet broadcast lens directly on the camera. With a 2.5 stop light advantage over previous generations of super slow-motion cameras, the FT-ONE-SS4K offers higher frame rate image capture than was possible before. It supports HDR/SDR and WCG. The camera also features 24 axis color correction. Canon’s OLED viewfinder is compatible with the FT-ONE-SS4K and can be used as an option. Flicker Correction is also available as an option.
