ZTE to unveil four innovative Big Video Solutions at IBC 2019

Addressing the problems of the traditional live streaming apps like limited viewing angles, ZTE’s 5G Live TV solution delivers an innovative viewing experience by providing the audience with three distinctive 5G scenarios, including multi-angle views, flexible zooming, and free viewpoint. ZTE’s 5G Live TV solution has empowered China’s first 5G sporting events, the 2nd National Youth Games.

Moreover, in the field of 8K video, ZTE will provide visitors of IBC with a vivid experience of ultra-HD and ultra-fast smooth 8K videos, backed up with ZTE’s end-to-end 5G+8K solution, the ultra-strong decoding technology and super-high CDN throughput capability of its 8K smart set-top box. The 8K smart set-top box has once been rewarded iF Design Award 2019 in Germany for its minimalist and ultra-thin design.

As for the integration of OTT and IPTV, ZTE will showcase a customized 4K Hybrid STB for operators. Integrated with IPTV and Google ecosystem, this STB can provide users with a wide range of Google apps, such as Google Music and Google Games, thereby allowing them to enjoy both the IPTV and OTT services at the same time.

In the field of smart home, ZTE will demonstrate its far-field 4K AI STB S200 in support of voice commands. By virtue of functions of IPTV/OTT services, smart speaker, home control, home media sharing, and home networking, S200 is an all-in-one home assistant.

In addition, ZTE will also showcase many other series of powerful STBs, including the new Dongle STB, 4K IP Media Gateway supporting Wi-Fi AP, and the highly cost-effective satellite STB and cable STB.

Just Add Power Introduces New Instant Install Application

Just Add Power (J+P), a leader in Ultra HD over IP video distribution, announced today that the company has expanded its Just OS firmware ecosystem with the addition of the Instant Install application. Making its debut in booth 1817 at CEDIA Expo 2019, the application provides fast auto configuration for any gigabit switch.

With the Instant Install app, installers can easily incorporate any gigabit switch that supports jumbo frames — managed or not — into their J+P matrix. They simply connect their devices anywhere on the switch and click a single button, and their devices are found and configured, and a driver is built — all in less than two minutes.

2019 Champions League Deploys FOR-A FT-ONE-SS4K Super Slow-Motion Cameras During Final Match

During the 2019 Champions League final in Madrid, several FOR-A Ultra High-Speed FT-ONE-SS4K cameras were utilized for critical slow motion replays as part of the live broadcast. The same camera will be on display within the FOR-A booth (Hall 2, Stand A51) during IBC 2019 at the RAI Amsterdam this week. The FT-ONE-SS4K will be demonstrated with the ZE-ONE 4K zoom extractor during IBC.

Specially designed for live, instant replay in ultra-slow motion, the FOR-A® FT-ONE-SS4K supports UHD shot at up to 1000 frames per second. It provides a continual, real-time 4K live output. A native 2/3-inch image sensor enables the use of a B4 bayonet broadcast lens directly on the camera. The modular and open-architecture platform from Ross Video makes for easy integration within production studios and broadcast facilities requiring robust streaming output. The scalable and flexible solution can deliver up to 10 UHD channels or 40 HD channels in a 2RU, as well as the flexibility to mix and match with compatible OG cards such as the MGW Ace Decoder OG. ATG Danmon To Promote Full Range of Systems Integration and Support Services at IBC 2019

Recent ATG Danmon activity has included an integrated system for the Royal Opera House in London’s Covent Garden, providing video recording, storage and archiving together with media asset management. This included integration with the existing IT network and full training.

For the main news studio at ITN’s London headquarters, ATG Danmon has completed a robotic camera tracking system. This centred on the integration of optical tracking with ITN’s existing cameras and virtual studio graphics.

ATG Danmon has also designed, supplied and integrated of equipment into two news studios and a news presentation room for the School of Journalism at one of Britain’s leading universities. The facilities simulate the functionality and processes of a real broadcast environment, the output being used for academic review.

ATG Danmon recently commenced a large-scale systems integration project for Riverside Studios in Hammersmith, London. This includes the installation and interconnection of production infrastructure at a new building across the sites of Riverside’s former studios and the neighbouring Queen’s Wharf. The venue will include state-of-the-art facilities with three flexible studio spaces for television, theatre, dance, opera, music and comedy, as well as a cinema, screening room, archive, community and rehearsal space plus a local events and entertainment space. Multifunction venues of this type are becoming increasingly popular around the world and Riverside looks set to be one of the most advanced of its kind in the UK.
